And just 40 miles away, you can ski at Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley and Wolf Mountain. For additional ski information, visit the Ski Utah website.

Snowshoeing is an easy and fun winter sport. It's as simple as strapping some snowshoes onto your winter boots, bundling up, and find a nice spot to walk.

Snowshoes are inexpensive to rent, too, and no lessons are needed. Ski poles are optional, though you might find them helpful if you feel a little unstable with your footing. And it’s impossible to get lost if you just follow your own tracks back.

Naturally, some places are better than others for snowshoe exploration, but we are in no shortage of prime areas in and near Draper. Be aware of safe zones and avalanche hazards, and enjoy some relaxed winter fun!

South Mountain Golf Course features an incredible blend of mountain and valley views, wildlife and scenery. A mountain links style course that has large undulating greens and dramatic elevation changes, South Mountain is a test for amateurs and professionals alike. With five tee boxes to choose from the golf course is an enjoyable experience for players of all skill levels.

The Draper Outdoor Pool a Salt Lake County facility. It is a beautiful pool on South Mountain with a great view of the entire valley. It is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day every summer and offers a variety of programs and classes.
