1. How do I order extra garbage or recycle containers?

To order extra containers, please call (801) 576-6504. Extra garbage containers are $10.00 per month, and extra recycle containers are $2.50 per month.

2. What if my garbage / recycle container is not emptied on the regular pick-up day?

If your container is not emptied on the regularly scheduled pick-up day, please call (801) 576-6504. We will make arrangements for Public Works to empty your container(s).

5. What is the best way to dispose of my Christmas tree?

From December 26th through January 15th, Christmas trees can be dropped off 24/7 at the Public Works Facility (72 E. Sivogah Court - 14525 S.) or at the Longbranch Trailhead, at the intersection of Longbranch Drive (1690 E.) and Deer Ridge Road (15090 S.). Only real, un-flocked trees, that are fully stripped of lights and ornaments, can be accepted.

6. What is my garbage / recycle pick-up day?

Garbage is collected weekly, and recycling is collected bi-weekly. See Interactive Map to determine your pick-up day, and the corresponding Recycling Calendar Schedule for your next recycling pick-up.

7. Will holidays affect my garbage / recycle pick-up?

The following four holidays could delay your pick-up: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day. If your pick-up falls on or after the holiday, your pick-up will be delayed by one day for that week only.

8. Does Draper City off a neighborhood clean-up program?

The City has dumpsters available for rent. Please call (801) 576-6500 for reservations.

9. What can I put in my garbage container?

Solid Waste service is for household and yard trash only (limbs cut in 2' lengths) - no construction materials or Hazardous Waste.
